Have them ask the chef or cook if they are not completely sure. More and more restaurants are becoming aware of allergenic issues and will usually be very helpful.

Taking a trip requires some extra planning, but with a little thought and lots of communication, it can be done without mishap. Airline attendants should be made aware that you require special attention to the foods and snacks you will be served. It should never be a problem if you take your own food on board with you, especially if you let them know the dietary reasons for this. Not doubt they are familiar with this situation and will be very helpful.

When you reach your destination, there will be more decisions to be made about local restaurants. Many may have an online presence where you can see their menus as well as get contact information if you have questions about their food or its preparation. The personnel in your hotel can also be of assistance, both by recommending restaurants they are familiar with and also by making arrangements for safe dining on site or in your room.
